The Kitchen Centre – Excellence,Quality, Experienced, Professional, Specialists
The Kitchen Centre began in 2002 as the marketing arm of Leigh Rodman Kitchens and Bedrooms, our founding business that has a long history of quality service which now continues under our current banner.
Leigh Rodman has been providing high quality kitchens for over 20 years, and has come a long way since the start of operations out of his home garage in 1991.
Leigh commenced building and installing kitchens for the domestic market, and he opened his first showroom in Launceston in 1993 in response to the increasing demand for his products. Now employing over 30 people, and supplying kitchens and other cabinetry Statewide, Leigh is arguably one of Tasmania's largest suppliers of Kitchens.

Our interactive showrooms are situated at 21 Dowling Street, Launceston and 190 Newtown Road, Hobart and our "mobile" showroom now servicing Devonport regularly.
On display are full size kitchens showcasing the latest in Kitchen trends. The Kitchens are constantly updated with new ideas and highlight products that are exclusive to us.
Both showrooms are fully interactive allowing you, the client, to try out the latest innovations like "soft close" Blum drawers and hinges, corner drawer systems, appliances cupboards (roller doors etc), Blum Aventos lift up door mechanisms and many more great ideas.
The opening of our subsidiary, Kitchen Centre Kits, in Launceston has seen the showroom enlarged to make it the biggest in Tasmania with 17 kitchens on display. For more information about our Kit Kitchens please see our Kit Kitchen section.
Behind the impressive public face of our interactive showrooms is a team of highly skilled workers who are dedicated to ensuring that the quality of our kitchens is nothing less than exceptional. After receiving the plans, the cabinet data is loaded into our CNC router which delivers precisely cut cabinet components, an essential part of our quality control. These components are then edged accordingly to customer specifications and assembled ready for installation. Prior to delivery, all cabinets undergo a rigorous quality check by the workshop foreman.
Our workshop is constantly evolving through the implementation of current technology designed to enhance the quality of products produced and job efficiency. In 2011 another large upgrade of machinery at our workshop will further establish our commitment to providing top quality joinery at impressive lead times.
